Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel is a five-star luxury boutique hotel in Bairro Alto, Lisbon. The 18th-century palace stands where Bairro Alto, Chiado and Príncipe Real meet, opposite the São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint. Built for the architect of King João V, it later became the Lisbon home of the Port Wine Institute. The palace holds One Michelin Key, and the wine never left. The resident sommelier leads daily tastings of the palace's own Alentejo wines. Some 150 Ports pour in the Solar do Vinho do Porto, kept here by the Institute since 1946. Federico serves contemporary Portuguese cuisine, reimagining tradition, beneath a vertical garden. The spa works with Caudalie. Rooms and suites overlook the city, courtyard or castle.
